Thank you for visiting our new Internet site. We want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with your PTA. This site will enable us to communicate with our members and keep you up to date with the lastest events, news and information that you need to support your school through the PTA.
This year, the Britt PTA continues to support the national PTA's theme, of "every child, one voice". Your PTA will continue to provide funding and program support in various initiatives including cultural arts, heath and and safety, and science enrichment. These initiatives, in partnership with the school's leadership and teachers, will only enhance your child's experience at WC Britt Elementary School.
In addition to programming support, PTA provides another avenue or vehicle by which parents can be actively involved with their school. As statistics have proven, there is a direct relationship between student achievement and parent involvement! We know that you want the best for your children, as do your children's teachers and leaders. We strongly welcome and encourage your participation.
There are several ways for you to get involved:
Join - $5.00 annual membership for the local, state and national PTA
Give your time/volunteer
Give your ideas/suggestions
Attend PTA events and meetings
Support PTA through spirit wear purchases
Support PTA through annual fundraiser
We are very aware that you are busy. If you can't volunteer we understand - most of your elected PTA officers hold full-time careers. However, your financial support provides for programs that your child(ren) will enjoy. If you can volunteer, we would love to have you. Most parents are able to find time to volunteer for an average of one to two events per year.
DADS - Britt's PTA has a Dad's club, which provides wonderful support for the school. They maintain the Outdoor Classroom, and lend their grilling/barbecue skills for the annual Carnival. It's just the guys, so come out and have some fun with Dads just like you!
We have a very dedicated board, that has been working hard to get the school year off to a great start! We are motivated to reach our membership goal of 100%--that's one PTA member for each student, and membership from each faculty and staff member.
If you are interested in becoming a part of a national, state, and local organization with a proven track record of achievement, you have come to the right place. Each year the Britt PTA has been fortunate enough to win several awards and recognition, including membership awards from the Georgia PTA. These awards are evidence of our commitment to excellence.
